Hi! I'm Lisa, I am an Advanced Care Paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service, and am currently studying tertiary education through the Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education with CQUniversity. This wiki was created to explore the use of wikis in tertiary education for the course EDED20485 Learning & Teaching with Technology, and contains two mini-wikis: the first discusses the application and utility of wikis in higher education, constructed for assignment one; the second is an e-learning tool constructed as a joint project both for assignment two of EDED20485, and for the major assignment for HFB3111 of the BHlthSc (Paramedic) conversion degree at Victoria University.
I plan to add many more mini-wikis in the future, both relating to tertiary paramedic education, and also in the form of clinical nuggets for paramedics in line with what I've created in the e-learning project below. I hope for this wiki to grow to become a resource for both on-road paramedics and for academics and instructors involved in paramedic education.

e-Learning Project
This wiki comprises an e-learning package I have developed which utilises educational and web 2.0 technologies to facilitate learning. Teaching a largely practical and hands-on discipline in the virtual environment poses obvious challenges, and this e-learning tool demonstrates how these may be overcome.
