Whilst working on this assignment we created a table for tracking of activities, though it became less of a necessity for just two members between whom quick emails are a faster update. This would have much greater application for a large group in which other incidental methods of communication such as emails are impractical, as a table can clearly and more visually marshall activities amongst members than written conversations. Tables are easily created from the text editor built into wiki pages.

Quizzes & wikis
|
I've looked at quizzes and they're great, but I think for this assignment it would be better to do wikis - they have greater potential as a tool to use for nearly all courses, and the variety of possible uses for them is just mindboggling! Overall I think they'd just be really interesting and useful for us to research and learn more about. I will certainly be using quizzes in my work though.

Mind Mapping / RSS / Twitter

I've been having a look at mind-mapping tools, and RSS feeds, but think i'll concentrate on Twitter for this assignment. I've been in training this week and quite a few are interested in how twitter can be used in mainly Diploma and Degree courses. It is currently being used by a number of Australian University and I'd like to see how or if we can use it.

Creating some pages to illustrate the various applications of Wikis, and also the ability to embed and include other web 2.0 technologies within the Wiki. Will prefix the title of these pages "Wiki - ...".
